Co-founders Áslaug Magnúsdóttir and Lauren Santo Domingo knew they were a perfect match to launch a company together. They met in New York in 2006 on a project to invest in designer talent. With Áslaug’s expertise at advising and building fashion businesses and Lauren’s deep connections to designers and brands, they quickly became friends and brainstormed opportunities.
When Áslaug reached out to Lauren about the concept of a membership service that allows customers to pre-order the latest runway collections, they both knew they had found their business. In a matter of weeks, Moda Operandi was born.
Moda Operandi is the outgrowth of a passion shared by both Lauren and Áslaug: to help designers build successful brands by connecting them to the women who cherish them. By providing early direct feedback between designers and their customers, Moda Operandi helps designers flourish and members sparkle.
