J. Crew Schoolboy blazer in wool flannel, $188
J. Crew
Liz Lange: Yes, I am feeling for red in a big way but I must confess it was my 11 year old daughter who turned me onto the majesty of a red blazer! She insisted I try this on when we were in the J Crew store last weekend and she was right! I love the way it would brighten up an all black look, or chic-ify a beige/tan look and of course it is genius with denim instead of the more expected blue or camel blazer.
Jane Wagman: Liz's ideas are all great, but I am kind of into this as less of a preppy look and more of an '80s tuxedo jacket look (done in red). I am living for this style of jacket paired with skinny jeans: leather, colored, denim or otherwise and heeled booties or kitten heeled pointy toed pumps.

Liz Lange: Lightweight fall jackets are always a bit of a conundrum for moi. You really can't go wrong with a blazer. There are so many great styles that you should pick your fave - shrunken school boy, tuxedo, equestrian, drape-y .... And come winter a blazer is a great layering piece that you can wear UNDER your big winter coat.
Jane Wagman: I live in blazers all year round. To me, multiple blazers are a wardrobe staple and something that never goes out of style. As Liz said, there isn't just 1 great style so pick what works for you. Blazers are something you should never get rid of. Sometimes I need to get them altered slightly but seriously styles come in and out of fashion so shop your own closet and just keep adding to your collection.

Liz Lange: I love that this is a classic, simple tunic with the surprise embellishment on the arms. I love it when I find a long sleeve top that manages to be sexy.
Jane Wagman: I live in tunics in the summer time. I love pairing them with shorts or jeans of any color. East breezy comfy fashion!

Liz Lange: I'm not as much of a blazer person as Jane is but I do think a bright blazer over jeans and a tee is a super cute look.
Jane Wagman: It's a perfect way to add a little color to a conservative outfit and still look work appropriate.

J. Crew
Liz Lange: Oh featherweight sweaters I love thee and let me count the ways. I seriously can't get enough lightweight sweaters. V-necks and cardis happen to be my sweet spot. I love wearing a bright colored v-neck with a pencil skirt. To me it says effortless chic
Jane Wagman: I love throwing these on over shorts and a tank on cooler night. Just a great basic.

Shopbop
Liz Lange: I am cautiously embracing the neon trend. Just a hint. I like these paired with neutral colors like white, black, navy...
Jane Wagman: As our mother would say, "I think these are a hoot". I like these come fall paired with black, brown, navy ... so cute tucked into boots with a big turtleneck sweater.

Liz Lange: In summer I literally can NOT get enough easy breeze-y dresses. I feel like I am wearing a light flow-y nightgown and yet I look completely pulled together. I know we keep promoting the hi-lo trend but we really love it and find it so flattering! Allows a little leg to peak through as you walk.
Jane Wagman: I love that this dress comes in extra small up to extra large. The perfect summer dress for any body size or type. Feel free to remove the self belt and add your own to make it unique.

Liz Lange: I have been rockin' red white and blue all summer already but now is really the time to step it up!
Jane Wagman: I agree with Liz. Red, white and blue really works all year round. So graphic and cute. It's a good investment for all year long.

Opensky
Liz Lange: When in doubt I always reach for a shirtdress. They are classic, crisp, figure-flattering (they cinch in at the waist and flare a bit at the thighs) and always appropriate. They can easily be dressed up with heels but are equally cute with flats or flip flops.
Jane Wagman: Come fall/winter I love to throw on a sweater (preferably shrunken v or crew neck) over a shirtdress like this, in a contrasting color or pattern like red stripes. I love the girly-ness of this dress in particular. I love the way it looks with nude platform heels but a colored shoe would look adorbs as well.

BCBG
Liz Lange: I bought the BCBG dress in orange a month ago. As soon as I got home from the store I told Jane she needs to buy it. It wasn't until I showed up to lunch last week wearing it that she finally understand the magic of it! She kept staring at me like she wanted me dead. That's how jealous she was. I like to wear mine belted as I think adding a waist is always more flattering. Any belt will do.
Jane Wagman: Truthfully, I wanted the orange (the one Liz showed up in) but it doesn't exist anymore so I bought this emerald green instead and I can't wait for it to arrive!! It also comes in white and crocodile which are both cute as well. It runs slightly large so size down. I love these asymmetrical maxi dresses paired with wedges or metallic slides. Perfect for lunch, dinner, cocktails, beach party...
